Derrick Favors, a native of Atlanta, gained widespread recognition as a standout player at South Atlanta High School, where he was ranked among the top high school basketball players in the country in 2009. He was drafted 3rd overall by the New Jersey Nets in the NBA Draft and enjoyed a successful 12-year career, most notably with the Utah Jazz, where he became the 10th leading scorer in the franchise’s history!
