Restaurant roundup: The Original Hot Dog Factory, Miss Mini Donuts of reality TV fame hit Houston

The Original Hot Dog Factory, an Atlanta-based hot dog restaurant, will open in The Shops At Memorial Heights at 920 Studemont St. on Sept. 4.

Sisters Juanita and Bridgette Sharkey are franchising the concept in Houston, according to a press release. The native Houstonians plan to open 25 locations across Texas, CultureMap reported.

The Original Hot Dog Factory serves a wide selection of loaded hot dogs, like a Jamaican jerk chicken hot dog and a Chicago hot dog, as well as burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads and more. Desserts come in the form of deep fried Oreos and Twinkies, as well as funnel cakes.

The Original Hot Dog Factory might be best known from being featured on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” multiple times, the release notes.
