Here’s How To Add A Spark To Socially Distant Independence Day Weekend Festivities

What about a virtual hot dog design contest?

Dennis McKinley, owner of The Original Hot Dog Factory, known for their creative takes on hot dogs, recommends a virtual hot dog making contest.

“On a video call with the family, everyone has a beef, pork or vegan dog (their preference). Once they have their dogs in place. They have one minute to go to their refrigerator, pantry or cabinets and find five things to make a hot dog with, bring them back to their position, and dress up their dog with the ingredients. Once the minute is over, everyone must stop and present their dogs to the family. One of the family members (most likely, a grandmother or grandfather) will pick the winner.,” said McKinley.

Choose the winner based on creativity, but also ingredients that work well together. After that, everyone gets to eat their creation!
